A Note for Sources for this Training and the Use of AI

Many resources were used in developing these modules, including:

Resources already developed to support online teaching at MiraCosta;
Openly licensed (OER) faculty development courses and materials from @ONE and elsewhere;
Data collected from MiraCosta students about their needs and preferences for online learning;
Original content developed to support the outcomes designed for this training.

Generative AI tools (primarily Copilot, Gemini, NotebookLM, Playlab, and Napkin Ai) have been used to help analyze, combine, consolidate, reformat, outline, and generate some module content and graphics, always grounded in selected sources as described above. Any AI-generated content was thoroughly reviewed for accuracy, edited for clarity, and revised for consistency and style in order to integrate it with fully human-authored material.

Some module assessments are developed with Playlab, a generative AI tool designed specifically for educational use and licensed by the California Community College system. Your engagement with Playlab AI apps is private and secure. No information that you provide will be used to train AI models, nor will it be available or used for any purpose other than demonstrating your completion of the certification requirements.

We thank @ONE for their leadership and contributions to accessibility‑centered professional learning in online education. Many topics in this training were adapted from content from various @ONE courses.
